SATELLITE NAVIGATION SYSTEMS ( GPS ) TTM7 ROVER - CAR NAVIGATION SYSTEM GPS MODULESTTM7 ROVER -CAR NAVIGATIONS SYSTEM AVL ------AVL SET UP ----- GEO FENCING ------ ![]() GPS combined GSM technology has been applied to Automotive Vehicle Locations (AVL) for more than 10 years. Most of system has been used for Business-to-Business market. Besides, AVL technology is also used in Telematics market especially in car security . Rover has designed with SoC (System On Chip) solution to bring more reliability and stability to the over whole performance Indeed, Rover has been ranking as premium car alarm system by insurance companies across the world.Rover can also can be applied as self-monitoring just simply hook up with control center for real time tracking, two way text/voice communication with car drivers, vehicle monitoring, Vehicle dispatching, Drive route recording , more and more. Product Features : Compact small size. Case design similar to existing car alarm system allows easy installation by existing car alarm installers. Cable design - Black single wire cable and no connectors - and layout complies with insurance recommendations for high-end car alarm and tracking systems - other alarms have custom made or special connectors. Tracking unit's configuration and settings can be updated using SMS messages - most other units need to be configured at installation time and options cannot be changed by SMS messages. Operation system can be upload on air via GPRS for any new function update or debug. Fixed Speed camera location detection - existing locations can be updated or new ones added using SMS messages. GEO fencing whenever you park your vehicle with Flashing GEO fencing LED Input voltage use +12 Volt. An external converter could be attached for 24 volt or more. GPRS LCP, PAP, IPCP, IP, TCP and UDP protocol support. Allows data to be sent as email to any email address in the world or small data packets to be sent directly to server application. When GPRS disconnected, Rover will switch back to SMS mode automatically - With most other unit's only one option can be selected. MCU dead lock protection.-if MCU get into dead lock, it will automatic reset after 10 mins. The Rover firmware has build in TCP /IP protocol (the same as your computer system). It can communicate between an Email server to send email anywhere in the world or it can send data directly to a Web server (requires static IP address).Sending data using an Email is used to download multiply GPS locations (or any other data). Sending data directly to a Web server is used when small amounts off data needs to be sent every 3-5 minutes (for 'real' time tracking). Fireware Features: SOC solutions SMS mode/GPRS mode/SMS+GPRS mode Upload/download settings, locations, and OS via GPRS. Open platform for two way communication between control center and MDT Special protocol for GPRS with hand shaking. Minimize communication cost and data package lost. MCU dead lock protection . Reliability Rover has been in market for more than 3 years. Been ranked as highest level of car alarm system in New Zealand , Australia , and US. Have been used in many of European, American and Asian countries. Manufacture by ISO 2000, QS 9000 certified manufacturers. Temperature test Vibration test. Can we use it for motorcycle? Yes, the Rover unit goes to sleep mode automatically, if no movement is detected. We use 12V from car power source during normal operation, internal battery is used during emergency use, up to 20 hours continue back-up. -Q: If no GPRS coverage available, can the unit switch directly to GSM ? Yes, Rover unit will switch back to SMS mode AUTOMATICALLY !! - Q: Which antenna better provide better gain combined GPS/GSM or separate GPS and GSM antenna? Either way is ok for us since we have the GPS/ GSM combo with 10W RF protection from our GPS antenna that prevents the noise level from GSM. -Q: How can we install the unit in the Vehicle and how long will it take ? Please ask our sales for installation manual. Average installation time will be about 45 minutes. -Q: Can it monitor alarms from another security device ? Yes, our I/O lines are designed to interface with most brand alarm system. Once you wire up the I/O to alarm system, all the function will be operated for you. Software : o Q: What kind of database you use and can it be integrated with SQL, SAP, or Oracle? We have 2 software solutions; one is standard along server work with GSM modem. Another one is Web-base control center, which work with both GSM system and Internet. o Q: Do we need to have a fixed IP for GPRS communication? GEO FENCING DOCUMENT There are 2 options for GEO fencing 1. When you park your vehicle and the GEO fencing input is low then your vehicle will be automatically GEO fenced to that location in about 30 seconds (default) and the GEO fencing LED starts flashing! If your vehicle is moved from that location (with GEO fencing input low) then the tracking unit will automatically send an SMS message with alarm status code = 044 (if no other alarm is activated at that time). This combination code can only be sent if the vehicle is moved from the GEO fenced area. 2. When you define a GEO fenced area and the vehicle leaves the GEO fenced area then an SMS message is sent with the alarm status code = 0@0 (if no other alarm is activated at that time). Geo Fenced area setup: You can configure a Geo Fenced area. You can configure the settings so that a vehicle has to stay within that Geo Fenced area or must stay out of the Geo Fenced area. When activated an SMS message can be sent back to base, as well the alarm output can be activated to disable the vehicle. ![]() ![]() Camera GPS locations (code 37,1 and code 37,2): Our TTM/ROVER AVL unit has 100 GPS locations that can be used for 2 functions. 1. As warning device when a vehicle enters an area where a fixed speed camera is installed. To use this function you must know the GPS (lat - long) location(s) for the fixed speed cameras installed. If the TTM/ROVER speed camera function is enabled and you have the speed camera locations loaded then whenever you come closer then 300 meters from these locations the SOS output will be activated (low). A small buzzer connected to this output can warn you that there is a speed camera installed. Once your distance is more then 300 meters away from the location the SOS output automatically deactivates . ![]() 2. As an automatic reporting system when a vehicle enters and leaves a defined 'GEO'fenced location. The following picture shows how this works . ![]() Up to 200 locations can be configured. Sample setup and operation: SMS setup Lets say we have 3 locations where we need to know when the vehicle enters or leaves these locations. The locations must be entered as hex code and in 'ddmm.mmmm' format. Example: 3723.2475 hex format to send -> 2517184B or 0456.5580 hex format to send - > 04383750. Latitude and longitude are always positive numbers. The last entry in the table must be hex FFFFFF. Command code sample: 05*827,38,00,414141,424242,38,01,434343,444444,38,02,454545,464646,38,03,FFFFFF,FF FFFF,0 This will setup 3 locations: First location : latitude = 414141 (hex) and longitude =424242 (hex) Second location : latitude = 434343 (hex) and longitude =444444 (hex) Third location : latitude = 454545 (hex) and longitude =464646 (hex) Then we can enable the function with command code: 05*827,37,2,0 If the vehicle enters the second location, an email message will be sent (IN 434343,444444). When the vehicle leaves the second location, another email message will be . sent (OUT 434343,444444). The message sent when a vehicle leaves a location is delayed about 30-40 seconds to make sure that the vehicle has left the location. Com port setup Use ttm7setup.exe to upload location table via serial port. GPRS setup Use server.exe to upload location table via GPRS. |
